Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RootedHub, operated by RootedHub LLC ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You're responsible for everything done under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure.

2. Listings

• You must own or be authorized to list any business, event, or class you publish.
• Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
• We may review, edit, suspend, or remove listings that violate these Terms or our community standards.
• Paid listing tiers are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.

3. Registrations & payments

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• RootedHub adds a 5% service fee on top of the listing price at checkout (paid by the registrant). Providers receive their full listing price minus Stripe's processing fee.
• Organizers are responsible for delivering the event/class as described and complying with local laws.

4. Taxes

• Listing subscriptions: Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and, where required, collected at checkout based on your billing location. Tax amounts are shown before you confirm payment.
• Event & class registrations: Where required by law, applicable taxes are calculated and shown at checkout. Registrants are responsible for any taxes not collected at checkout that may apply in their jurisdiction.
• Organizer income: Practitioners, vendors, and organizers are solely responsible for reporting and paying income tax, self-employment tax, and any other taxes on payments they receive through the platform. RootedHub does not withhold income tax on payouts. If you exceed applicable IRS reporting thresholds, Stripe (our payment processor) will issue you a 1099-K directly.
• Your tax situation: Nothing on the platform is tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional for your specific situation.

5. Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful content.
• Scrape or copy the directory for competing services.
• Interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Impersonate any person or business.

6. Wellness disclaimer & licensing

RootedHub is a directory. We do not provide medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, or financial services, and we do not endorse, certify, credential, or verify the practitioners, vendors, classes, or organizers listed. Listings and reviews are provided by third parties and may contain inaccuracies.

Verify local licensing before you book. Licensing, certification, scope of practice, and permitted claims for wellness professionals (including but not limited to massage therapists, acupuncturists, mental-health counselors, nutritionists, herbalists, midwives, and bodyworkers) vary by state, county, and municipality. It is your responsibility to confirm that any practitioner you engage holds the credentials required in your jurisdiction, and it is each practitioner's responsibility to only advertise services they are legally authorized to provide in the areas they serve. Always consult a qualified, appropriately licensed professional for medical decisions.

7. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of content you post, but grant RootedHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the site to operate the directory.

8. Termination

You may close your account anytime via Contact. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, RootedHub LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
